Monitor Artifacting Until I Turn It Off and on Again

  1. I just got my screen dorsum class the repairers, and at present i see tiny blood-red pixels in random places all over the screen, if i modify the resolution, they're bigger and are in different spots. As well if i play a game, they disapear, like normal..

I sometimes get black with white lines on te screen which i need to restart my pc. just happens when i change screens. simply been happening since final calendar week.

my other screen which is onetime crt has no problems but that blackness with white lines happens. lke BSOD.

If it is doing some version of this with two unlike monitors then I vote for a defective video card or driver corruption. I am bold you lot are not overclocking annihilation? If not, then I would advise completely uninstalling everything ATI on your system and reinstalling the latest CCC driver packet. If the problem continues you volition have to try a different video card, if possible, to eliminate the possibility of a defective card. Information technology really is more than likely the driver. You might also try removing and reseating your video card (while the computer is off and the power cord is removed from the organization).

You might also double check that the refresh rate is gear up to your LCD specs both in Windows and CCC.

  5. I tried in rubber manner which disables the drivers and the exactly same thing is happening:wanker:

so i volition endeavor and do a reset.

this is like the black screen issue i had a few weeks agone. vista related..

im going to my mates firm which i will put my 4850 in his comp and encounter if it happens. This has happened before once for 30minutes but disappeared. I hope its the screen and not the graphics menu. Or i will have to pay postage both means to get information technology fixed.

Distressing to report that an intermittent problem such as you describe is unremarkably hardware failure. In this instance most likely the video bill of fare itself. I had a similar issues with a sound card once that stopped working on occasion. I removed it and reseated information technology and the problem never reappeared. Yous can attempt that as sometimes the pins just don't quite line upwardly. The only other suggestion I tin make is that heat can cause stange problems like this. That would non explain this if it is happening when you first turn on the computer.

By trying the card in your friends figurer you can certainly verify if it is the carte du jour. I will be interested to encounter the results of your test.

if the carte du jour is seated correctly and plugged in and it nonetheless artifacts, then it is probably a dead/dying carte. information technology could as well be a driver problem. did you try installing/uninstalling drivers in prophylactic mode with a driver sweeper programme?
  8. Ok i took the card out and put it back in. And i just realised that the power connector is besides connected to two ability fans and the dvd reader, so i was thinking that could be the trouble?( because i added an extra power fan before i got my new screen back) so asunder the power fan.

Power back to pc and turned it on. booted windows and now no more ruby-red pixels randomly actualization:)

    THANKS GUYS!!!

I don't know if the gfx bill of fare wasnt in the PCIE properly or not enough ability only yeah its stock-still.
I can put the power fan back on and see if information technology happens over again if you like guys?

It may just have been the reseating of the bill of fare but you should annotation that fans contain a motor and cheap fans can generate a lot of electrical noise on the line. You lot can really run across this on a telescopic (if you had one). In a worse case example, some fans can create a lot of eltectro-magnetic noise which can fifty-fifty be transmitted through the air (like a radio moving ridge). I would just throw out that fan and be careful not to hook fans and video cards on the same 12v rails once more.
